Street Shark Surveillance Cam: AJ Six Rings X???

What an enigma?

Phony Sharkskins is on duty 24-7…look what I found roaming the streets in the early morning (6am)…these must be the next virus plaguing the scene since the swine flu! This is another pick-a-combo shoe and let’s see if we can name all of the parts: Six Rings, AJ X…umm, wsup with the upper?…and that tail/heel grip?…Where did that come from?

Finding all of the pieces to this contraption is harder than a crossword puzzle!!! (But its looks as simple at the Daily JUMBLE) What an enigma!?!

Edward Nigma aka The Riddler couldn’t even solve this puzzle!!! And his riddles are pretty tough (Guess I should have called Batman instead, huh?)

We can all see that the Jumpman Pro upper is the latest model to be abused in the “fake factories.” This is a shame…Jumpman Pro Force!?! C’mon yo…this is going a lil too far…So much, that I had to call in an expert on evil spirits…

Philly’s offense is loaded now and with a healthy squad, they can definitely go back to another NFC Championship game…and well, who knows? Did you expect the Eagles to go as far as they did last year? Would they have beat the Cardinals with Vick? Gee, I wonder…

Phony Sharkskins reporting for duty! Here’s another tragedy that I found at the Iverson Celebrity Basketball game weeks ago. This guy should be cited by the fashion police for impersonating the classic AJ XI.

These must have crept from the shadows of the classic Retro XI and were mutated into an evil twin…This is unexplainable…

Only the work of the Shadow Master could produce such evil…I’m not sure if the Double Dragon duo could save us from these villains…

Looks like too Man-E colors to me!?!

Guess who’s back! Phony Sharkskins is on the scene once again…This time we have a BEAST wannabe as the culprit. I found these down at the Allen Iverson Celebrity Basketball game a few weeks ago. To my surprise, there were quite a few fakes roaming scene (more incident reports coming…).

Once again, why would you even play yourself like this trying to go hard with the Yeezy’s? I still don’t get it…why is this cool? And to add insult to injury, dude ended up chilling on A.I.’s team bench! C’mon Bubba Chuck! Friends don’t let friends wear fakes!!! Bottom line! Tell me if I’m wrong, but it looks like there’s too Man-E colors on this shoe to me!?!

Oh wait!…looks like BEAST Man-E Face was just acting like a BEAST and wanted to pretend he had on some exclusive kicks!…That’s a good thing cause no one would really wear these, right?

Check out another photo captured during the “Countryville Chronicles.” Looks like the AJ IX with the XX3 pattern on the upper…and where did the green color-way come from? *PAUSE* I don’t know either, but they made me so sick that I turned green in the face! LOL!

In the words on my green faced pal, Michelangelo, “We have a mondo problemo, dude!” This time I called upon the Gecko [not GEICO…this was definitely not an accident!] to help get rid of this green garbage. Mondo Gecko promised to trash this junk deep in the sewer on his next extreme skate trip…

Hopefully, these shoes will disappear as fast as Mondo Gecko did in the TMNT series (and never be seen again)…

Greetings folks…Phony Sharkskins is in the building & I’m reporting back on an outing I had about a week ago…More pics to follow but we’ll call this series the “Countryville Chronicles!”

Well, as you can see, I had to creep into the night to capture these villains…I had never seen this AJ XIII + Air Force 1 combination before so I had to move in stealth mode…as you can see these mutations keep getting weirder everyday…I knew what I was getting into when I rolled out to this event in the middle of the country but wow! These bad boys just don’t rock steady wit me!!! Rocksteady & the Foot Soldiers should take these back to Shredder so he can slice & dice this poor excuse for a sneaker!

So what was the deal with the LA Laker fans last night after they won the championship? Fans were seen rioting around the Staples Center…I haven’t seen this type of mayhem in a while….um, didn’t yall know they WON!?!…Why are you tearing down your own home? Kobe Bryant finally got the monkey off his back and won a title without Shaq…KB8 definitely deserved Finals MVP by averaging 30-5-5 throughout the entire playoffs…meanwhile, Phil Jackson captured his 10th ring!!! If coaching success is defined by winning, then Phil is the G.O.A.T. [& I don’t care who he had on his team…how many titles did any of his ‘great’ players win without Phil? nuff said…]

BEAST-DATE RECAP: Air Yeezy (NET)

Greetings BEASTS!…Your pal Beast Man is checking in to recap the latest BEAST-DATE that occurred this past weekend. This was the 3rd release of the Air Yeezy’s. The first 2 releases brought out plenty of BEASTS…Here’s the rundown on the ‘Net’ Yeezy release…

There were less than half of the BEASTS on location as compared to the Black/Pink release…as you can see, my cuzzo Beast was in line once again leading the pack…everyone got there raffle tickets & waited for their #’s to be called…plenty of BEASTS learned from the last raffle & brought friends to increase their odds with extra raffle tickets…One lucky BEAST walked away with 3 pair!!! [thanks to the 3 females he brought along]…A few BEASTS from the Black/Pink release that did not win any kicks before, got their # called this time…so I guess it all evened out, huh? The same BEASTS who were crying last time about how unfair the raffle was, walked away with a pair (or more) this time…still fair?

Oh well, nothing left to say (sorry, no real drama this time)…

Love Me or Hate Me…but, look what Beast Man got his hands on!

Phony Sharkskins is back on the scene and this time I have a public service announcement to make in a sec…before I do, lets jump in on this latest debacle…in order for you to see what I’m really up against, here’s an enlarged pic for you to view along (click below):

Wow…I’m speechless…where do I start?…these must be the Air WTF!!! I have never seen such a site and it took a while to take this all in…I mean, really?

C’mon man!?!…Air Dub Melo (Rings*) Force Fusion?!? Now this is ridiculous…Who could have constructed such a devastation?

The “Constructicons” combined to form “Devastator” couldn’t even cause a mess this big!!! Real talk, with all those pieces, who’s really in control? Looks like they have a mind of there own…out of control!!!

Ok, first off, let me give you the disclaimer – this is a pic of a kid so I’m not mad at him (well…I am, but not too much)…I’m upset with the parents! If you walk around like you “ballin” and got “stacks”, then why do you have your kids rocking fakes?!? I’m also not going to mention the other fraudulent items (Gucci) that’s not seen in the pic [oops! guess I just did]…somehow, I have the feeling these may have been purchased for average retail price ($70-$120)…if you want to be original, create your own style but you must keep the integrity [no fakes!!!] or else you have failed fashion 101 [miserably!]…you’re spending $$$ anyway, so why not get the real deal? At the least, your kid’s feet will thank you for avoiding those aches & pains during gym class…Stay tuned for another after-school special!

Welcome Home Mike Vick!

Hello world, it’s your boy Marv signing in to welcome back Mike Vick!…That’s right, Mr. Vick is now back in Hampton, VA on home confinement for the remaining 2 months of his sentence. I’m glad to see this wrapping up and hopefully you earthlings will allow Vick to get his life together and receive a FAIR shot at playing football again.

Of course I wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t upset about something…so I’m calling out all rappers, hip-hop artists/moguls/CEO’s, etc…WHERE IS HIP-HOP WHEN YOU NEED THEM??? How come no one is talking about Mike (in a good way) and giving him props for doing his bid like a solider???…especially since this all started cause of his idiot posse (or lackeys) who messed up and brought Mike down over their mistake…I mean, rappers are always talking about “not snitching” and “doing time” like that sh*t is cool…some how come Mike Vick isn’t cool for serving his time??? (You better answer me hip-hop!!!)

I’m lil upset that Mike continues to get this negative press…Can he live?…with all those reporters literally in his driveway, isn’t that trespassing???…I hate this circus that continues to go on…leave this man’s family alone…I really don’t wanna see Mike’s daughter riding her bike in the driveway on Sports Center!?! “No bread to toast?!?”

Wsup gang…sorry for the delay but once again Phony Sharkskins has been busy saving the world…this time, I’m posting this highly requested pic…If you were amongst the BEASTS at the last Air Yeezy release, you already saw these fugitives from Sneaker Justice…but don’t worry, the Foot Patrol seized them and locked them up for your viewing pleasure & amusement.

These were captured on a kid’s foot that actually got his number called during the raffle…as he approached the front of the line, you heard a few comments like “Where did you get those?…When did Jordan make those?…etc”…c’mon kid…you came to a major sneaker release rocking fakes!?! Bad move shorty, bad move…

Not only did the kid rock fakes, but he didn’t even have the $$$ to pay for the Yeezy’s…apparently his mom left him in line with no money and he couldn’t get in contact with her once at the register…the kid ended up having to leave after a 5-10 min wait and then his spot was given up to another raffle winner.

Sorry kid, if you didn’t have the money, you shouldn’t have been there in the first place…you only embarrassed yourself…I mean, dude had no bread… then, had to walk out [wearing fake classics] with a bitter/sad face…Not even Powdered Toastman could have coughed up enough bread to sweeten up this kid’s day!!!

Normally, I don’t go off on kids…but you gotta learn at a young age…when it comes to fakes, “DON’T BITE!!!”

I think the funniest part are the painted on stripes…whoever made these might as well left those off and went for strictly the AF1 look…

“King James is Crowned!”

Beast Man checking here…just wanted to give props to the newly crowded most valuable player…LeBron James was named 2009 NBA MVP today and he accepted his first MVP award in as gracious fashion as he entered the league. The press conference took place at his old High School, St. Vincent St Mary’s in front of his hometown crowd, family, friends, and teammates.

LeBron’s acceptance speech was humbling by giving credit for the award to his teammates (& player’s wives LOL)…He even had a chance to quote the movie “Friday,” by saying…"this [award] belongs to [all of] us, I’m just going to keep it at my house!”…LeBron also called his teammates on stage to share the spotlight and presented everyone with gifts as a sign of his appreciation (wonder if he REALLY paid for those cameras…& the “Beats by Dre” headphones got some free advertising too LOL!!!).

As you can see, my cuzzo Beast, was first in line (again!) … This time, he brought all of his lucky charms and got ready for the raffle! Take a look at the BEASTS on location…

Luckily, my cuzzo Beast’s number was called…he was so HYPE when he got his shoes that he had to rock them out of the store…what a BEAST!!!

The BEASTS were definitely out today and traveled from afar to take a stab at walking away with a pair of Yeezy’s. Some BEASTS obviously didn’t get the memo and STILL camped out over night…the raffle was set for 9a and everyone who was there between 8:30a – 8:59a received a ticket…sorry to the BEASTS who camped out and didn’t get their shoes…

“What’s up with this MUMBO JUMBO?”

Phony Sharkskins is back on the scene…sorry for the delay but the Street Sharks have been busy at work capturing more of the Evil Faker’s henchmen.

This time, we found some RETRO XIV’s and boy what a disgrace! It’s hard to tell in this pic (sorry, had to move quick to get these), but the mid section actually has a red laser collage similar to the patterns featured on the DUB ZERO…There’s entirely too much going on and the madness ends here…not only are they coping another classic, but to add LASER print is absurd…I mean, what’s up with this MUMBO JUMBO?!?

So you know who I had to call to try to figure out what’s going on here?…None other than, MUMBO JUMBO himself…and he couldn’t even figure out how & why this mess was put together (and looking at these only made him mad)!!!

“What a SLY-BIRD!”

You know I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t comment on some unusual things that occur that you can’t figure out…Sooo…wsup with “Spirit” the Hawks mascot (if you can call a ‘live’ animal a mascot LOL) swooping down from the rafters and deciding to chill for the start of game 2 in the HEAT-HAWKS series.

I mean, this definitely was NOT part of the routine! This bird hovered over the court during play and posted on the shot clock/backboard camera…WHAT A SLY-BIRD! Who does he think he is?!? He didn’t pay for that seat! (those playoff tix are pricey!)

Even Josh Smith & Al Horford were shook and they’re the HOME team! (no wonder they lost)…You can pretty much count on Mr. Stern delivering a nice little fine to the Hawks Game Operations Department for holding up a playoff game with this botched routine (*players & coaches aren’t the only ones that get fined behind the scenes folks!)

While roaming the universe, I’ve become friends with a former earthling who resides in outer space now & I think he would have pulled off this trick with no problem…

Commander Stargazer knows all about SLY-BIRDs…if he can assemble the Silver Hawks, I think he can handle a few ATLANTA HAWKS!!!

Chauncey Billups is a BEAST

“Mile-High MON-STAR!”

Beast Man is on deck and there is some serious BEASTING going on up in Denver… Chauncey Billups aka “Mr. Big-Shot” is taking over the NUGGETS-HORNETS series…he’s balling so much, that we have to call him a “Mile-High Mon-Star” for his performance in the first 2 games of the series.

Total stats: 67 Points (31 & 36 respectively)…12/15 from 3-point land…ZERO turnovers!!!!

This is even more of an extraordinary effort cause he’s doing this against one of the league’s top point guards in Chris Paul…Averaging 17 pts & 12 assts is cool (if it’s the regular season) but Billups has taken the “sting” out of CP with 5 turnovers per to match that double-double.

We’ll see if CP3 can pick up the slack as the series swings to New Orleans…hopefully, he can conjure up some “Voo Doo” to slow down the Nuggets and “Mr. Big Shot”

Beast Man checking in again to let you know what’s going today…I was kinda caught off guard cause I could sense large groups of BEASTS migrating across the globe but I couldn’t figure out where they were going…luckily I’m a BEAST MASTER, so all I had to do was concentrate a little harder and the answer was right under my nose.

So what’s so special about April 22???…none other than Popeye’s “Pay Day” promotion…today only, 8 pieces of chicken were marked down to $4.99!?! (yeah, I know…so what’s so special about that again?)…You would have thought they were giving away FREE chicken with the lines so long all day. You know Beast Man lives for the hype and I had to pop up at a few Popeye’s to catch the hype…here’s what I found:

Location #1:

This 1st location had so many cars in the drive-thru that it spilled onto the main street and was actually backing up traffic! (shout-out to the girl who rolled down her window and asked me to take her picture LMFAO!…c’mon, spell it with me people...G-H-E-T-T-O!)

Location #2:

This 2nd location was worst than the 1st…The drive-thru line was so long that it actually double wrapped around the building! Wow! Customers were not discouraged cause people were lined up outside waiting to place orders inside! People parked behind the building and on neighboring streets just to go stand in line and wait for their chicken.

Ok, its Marv here…Beast Man asked me to finish up cause he knew I was best suited to tell the world why this angers us over here @ Capital Kicks…I mean, what’s so serious about 8 pieces of chicken for $5??? Sorry, but I don’t think this is a big deal…why are all these Popeye’s being flooded with people for this promotion?…I’m pretty sure your local grocery store has a better deal for you & your family…I like chicken, but not enough to stand in line for over an hour for 8 pieces…somehow, I also feel bad for black folks cause this “chicken” stereotype seems to be true…being a Martian, I am oblivious to race issues, but man, why are black folks so HYPE on chicken? Pics don’t lie!…I’m not trying to be funny… just asking, WHY?

*NOTE: If this were SUPER POPEYE’S, I’d be there!…that’s REAL Louisiana cooking!!! (yes, Super Popeye’s does exist…my fav spot in Metairie, LA but unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina took ‘em out & they never opened back up…sorry I couldn’t share the experience)

I’m still mad at black folks tho (and confused) for this excessive BEASTING over some chicken…so what’s next? A watermelon & rim sale?

Well, well, well…look who decided to show up last night! I guess Mr. Allen received Beast Man’s page that the playoffs started…I can’t fully say Ray Allen has shown up yet (cause the guy wearing #20 in green only had 2 points at halftime), but in the second half…wow! Doc Rivers said he needed someone to win the game for them, but he didn’t know who…guess he got in contact wit Denzel cause Jesus Shuttlesworth came down from the heavens to save the day…Jesus came thru with 28 points (6-treys) in the second half including the game winning 3-pointer …Praise Jesus!

Props to Rajon Rondo with a MON-STAR triple-douple, 19pts…12rebs…16 asts…now that’s a BEAST!

Who knew this series would turn into the UCONN & LSU alumni game? Ray Allen vs Ben Gordon (Jesus, where was the D?…BG dropped 42!) and Glen “Big Baby” Davis vs Tyrus Thomas (Big Baby droppin 30?!?…Tyrus left his jumper in the overtime of game 1; he obviously left it somewhere cause he didn’t have it in game 2)…

Who’s going to show up in Chicago for game 3?

“I Ain’t Lion!”

It’s your boy Marv back again and this time I’m mad at the Detroit Lions…well, not too mad cause it’s actually the best move they could make after being the first WINLESS team in NFL history.

Let’s talk about this new logo change, shall we…First, I’m always rooting for the “fierce” style logo changes especially for established franchises (ie Broncos, Falcons & Bucs)…but that’s where it ends in the case of the Lions…this logo was barley touched, I guess to add action…it has teeth now (but a team with little bite!)…there are also claws and an eye now too (guess they can finally see what direction they’re going!….LMAO T.K. on PTI)…and the new font?!?…Looks like the Lions are still “shook” to me!…or are they still licking their wounds from last year?

Well world, judge for yourself…here’s the old vs new:

In my opinion, a refreshed resemblance of the old logo is still not good enough…why do you want any part of last year? More NBA 2K9 Beef!?!

Marv checking in and I now have OFFICIAL BEEF with NBA 2K9…AGAIN!!! This time is all of the online settings and game-play…I used to complain about MADDEN online glitches, but boy does NBA 2K9 made MADDEN look genius…why is it so difficult just to play online…I mean, I did want to play the SAME game online as I normally play…guess I was wrong.

Here’s my beef and I’m not going to get over this until they fix it:

1. Where’s my friend list? I have to go in a lobby, find my boy, then join a match?!? 3 steps too many…

2. If you make me make my own sliders, why can’t I load them during online play? I have to customize sliders every game? That’s wack!

3. The game-play is not as smooth…I expected this but sometimes there is a noticeable delay (enough wit the pump fakes…shoot the ball!)

4. Last point (for now)…wsup with this “HAND” that freezes the user when the other user pauses the game...if I see you making subs or coaching decision, why can’t I? It’s not like I can’t see the players get up off the bench and sit at the scorer’s table if I wanna peep your moves...I can’t do anything while the “HAND” is up…Who does 2K9 think they are…They act’n like they’re Dikembe Mutombo blocking shots!?! Or are they bringing back the “Tony Yayo” dance?!?

Either way, get this damn “HAND” out of my face 2k9!!! I’m definitely mad at that…although the list continues, I’ll just stop here. Wow, I’m so disappointed…such high expectations and so little execution.

Tell you one thing tho, if I see that “HAND” one more time, I’m slamming down on 2K Sports like PATRICK CHEWING!!! Real talk!!!

Ok let’s go in on these Spizikes…I’m not even that mad at the classic black/red color-way, but still…that is the only pass cause the leather on these bad boys look as stiff as cardboard…guess you don’t have to worry about creases!!!

But it’s the counterpart that needed the most attention…I brought the whole gang in just to take a look before we escorted this garbage to its rightful home…THE SEWER…wow, I mean what’s good with these FUSION’s?!? Guess I’m the only one who’s never heard of the VII/X (& whatever else is on there)…just stop, you’re killing me.

ANTE UP, PEOPLE!!!

It’s your boy Marvin here and I want to put this out there cause I still can’t figure out why people act all funny when they owe YOU money?!?

I mean, no matter who it is they all act the same…You be the judge…over time, here are a few characteristics I have observed of these weak earthlings:

1. They always acknowledge the debt but never pays up

2. They make up their own “payment plan” that was never discussed with you

3. They pay you back in odd denominations at odd times (don’t chase me down just to pay me $35 when you owe me $200!!!)

4. You don’t have your $$$ back, but you see the debtor out all the time rocking new sh*t, posted in the club, talking about new sh*t they bought, etc. but somehow can’t pay you back $50

5. You ask for the money, but they act like “you’re good” and they feel they can pay wheneva they want cause you “had it” to spare in the first place

6. Worst of all…they may question what you need your own $$$$ back for and determine if its important or not (as if getting your money isn’t enough…if I gave you $$$$ in November and you still owe me $$$$ in April, who cares what you need $$$$ for at this point, I need my doe!!!!)

Sorry for the random post but sometimes I really don’t understand how these characteristics keep popping up in so many different people. I bet if I showed up at your door with a ‘NEUROMODULAR DISCOMBOBULATER’ pointed in your grill you’d think twice about them lame a$$ excuses and pay up my bread before I turn you into SPACE DUST!

C’mon people!…be responsible and pay your debt before things get ugly & friendships are ruined…word of advise tho, “Never lend more money than you can afford to give away” (cause you might not get it back!)

The BEASTS were already lined up on Friday morning ready for a 24 hour camp-out. I even saw my cousin, BEAST, leading the pack.

With less then 20 kicks on stash, only a few BEASTS got their real sizes and the rest, well you’ll probably see them on eBay somewhere…But I do have to call out one of the JR. BEASTS on location for spending the night and not even buying a pair once you had the chance!!! I guess you’re “true” to the game cause you didn’t buy a pair of kicks that you wouldn’t wear…but reality is the game is f*ck*d up and BEASTS really don’t care…and that’s coming from the BEAST MASTER!!

Street Shark Surveillance Cam: Retro III (x 2)

Phony Sharkskins is here again for another report. This time I’m dropping a “Triple-Double” post (Not 1, but 2 pair’s of III’s) and you won’t believe some of the creatures the Streets Sharks have had to battle.

This first pair of III’s left me frozen in my steps! Looks like this color-way never made it’s way to Denver…This “rare air” needs to vanish into thin air, for real!!!

This second pair of III’s needed some extra strategy behind capturing this monstrosity. I had to pull out some “Kryptonite” to reel in these “Superman” clones. The world is just not safe when you have fake superheroes roaming the streets.

“Top Flight Foot Patrol reporting for duty, sir!!!”

I am Phony Sharkskins, the General of the Top Flight Foot Patrol unit featuring The Street Sharks. My Sole Duty is to bring attention to the Fake Sneakers that corrupt the land and pollute the earth with their bad “air.”

Every week I will post a picture of one of the hideous monsters that my crew rounds up while patrolling the streets. We travel the globe to fight the evil “Faker” and stop his henchmen from distributing unauthentic footwear.

Sometimes I wonder how & why these monsters are created but the plague has spread and doesn’t look promising for the future.

With the help of The Street Sharks, Phony Sharkskins will save the world!

On behalf of Capital Kicks, I would like to welcome you to our new blog, The LaunchPad. Before I tell you about The LaunchPad, let me give you some brief info on Capital Kicks and why we’re here today.

Capital Kicks was established in 2007 by 3 DMV natives who share a love for the sneaker game. Capital Kicks is a movement to capture the underling lifestyles behind the sneaker connoisseur culture. The movement isn’t just about Kicks (shoes), it’s also about the KICKS (thrills & excitement)!!!!
